The Standard
DUEL is governed by a single principle:
Strength must be earned, verified, and permanent.
This page defines the rules that govern rankings, records, and eligibility.
By creating a DUEL account, you agree to be bound by this standard.
Permanence
All strength records in DUEL are permanent.
There are no resets.
There are no wipes.
There are no do-overs.
Once a lift is recorded and accepted, it becomes part of your permanent record.
This applies even if your performance improves or declines later.
The leaderboard remembers everything.
Identity Lock
Each DUEL account is tied to a single identity.
Once selected, your name, gym affiliation, and account identity are locked.
Anonymous, duplicate, or burner accounts are not permitted.
This ensures rankings reflect real people in real gyms.
Canonical Lifts
Only the following lifts contribute to DUEL strength rankings:
Barbell Back Squat
Barbell Bench Press
Deadlift
Weighted Pull-Up
Farmer’s Carry
Accessory movements, machines, and variations do not affect rankings.
Verification
DUEL prioritizes verified strength.
Verification methods may include:
• Gym affiliation
• Video review
• Partner confirmation
• Platform-level validation
Unverified lifts may appear in your log but may not qualify for leaderboard eligibility.
Decay
Strength in DUEL is not static.
If training activity stops, strength scores decay automatically over time.
This reflects real-world performance decline.
Decay does not erase history.
It affects current ranking only.
Inactivity has consequences.
Leaderboard Eligibility
Only athletes who meet all of the following criteria are eligible:
• Identity locked
• Canonical lifts logged
• Verification requirements met
• No active disqualifications
Eligibility is enforced automatically.
Disqualifications
DUEL reserves the right to disqualify accounts that:
• Attempt to manipulate records
• Circumvent verification
• Create duplicate identities
• Abuse platform mechanics
Disqualification affects leaderboard visibility but does not erase history.
Finality
DUEL rankings are final.
There is no appeal process for leaderboard placement.
There are no manual overrides for performance outcomes.
The system applies the standard equally to all participants.
By using DUEL, you acknowledge and accept this standard.
If you disagree with any part of it, you should not participate.
